Nite Eze -The Company That Makes Stuff You Need
Not many writers will spend the ink on products under $20 however Nite Ize deserves some attention. The company has been making really innovative products for the last 25 years spanning a stunningly huge variety of hundreds of products. That product variety includes everything from micro to jumbo carabiners, ropes and rope tensioning products, ties, lights, straps, bungees, tool holsters, hand and micro tools, pet products, backpacking & camping accessories, and many many types sizes and styles of lights.Some of my favorite accessories from Nite Eze are the various sizes of S-Binders, Figure-9 carabiner tie downs, and ZipLit. I love the larger 2”-4” sized S-Binders extremely handy for securing keys and items inside of packs and bags, the jumbo S-Binders for keeping extension cords neat, and the S-Binder Stainless Key Rack. Of note I recommend buying an entire S-Binder Keyrack with six .5” wide S-Binders included as opposed to the individual .5” wide S-Binder. We probably have 50 of these in use around the house on everything from mail keys to backpack to the attachment clips on survival bracelets. Nite Eze offer most of their clips in either stainless steel, steel, or polymer. I personally have found them all to be durable but usually opt for the stainless models.
The Figure-9 carabiner tie downs are the fastest way to tie down your stuff. With various sizes available, that stuff could be heavy stuff in the back of your truck or a hat or blanket on pack. Nite Eze sells them separately, however what I like are their packs/kits that also include cordage. These provide just an awesome simple setup for camping and shelter/tarp tie downs. If you know your knots, you can do the same without a Figure-9 carabiner, however Nite Eze Figure-9 is an insanely easy,secure, and simply concept.
I think we have a ZipLite on the inside of every single pack and duffle we own. It delivers in essence a simple room light light inside the bag for you to find your crap inside all those black bags which are in vogue these days. This is a pretty brilliantly simple design which is just a body with a super bright LED light, battery, and a twist battery cover to turn everything on and off. An awesome idea which I am sure you will find is indispensable the next time you are looking for something inside the dark recesses of you pack.FINAL THOUGHTS
The great thing with Nite EZE products is that none of their products are even marginally expensive; most of the individual products are under $10. They are also fun products which make perfect fun little gifts for anyone in fact my wife just walked by and swiped yet another ZipLit off my desk while I am writing this…. yep fun products that everyone loves.
