ATF is reclassifying the 8-year old approved pistol braces as Class 3 ATF tax stamped SBRs.
Your reps need to be on this hard otherwise this is a huge step toward gun registration of nearly 5Million pistol braces on the market.
ATF is attempting to slip this through in a 14 day review period tduring the holidays. The review period closes on Jan 4,2020. They are required to allow 90 days to prevent these shenanigans.
Ted Cruz drafted this letter as the DOJ committee - https://www.cruz.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=5479 on Nov 24th and this is the violent ATF response that could crimilize millions of legal gun owners for no reason.
